I never thought the Spongebob theme and I hope that this might be a preview in some sort of way that Lego will be making the Flying Dutchman for the Pirates of the Carribiean because then Lego will have made all the ships from the moive.

you seem to forget that there is more ships like the royal navy ships with lord becket

I tend to agree with Enriqueboyde. Although it would be cool for a flying dutchman ship, they already included Davy Jones with the Black Pearl set. I believe they did this to include some of the Dutchman’s crew and villainsk, without having to make another ship. If Pirates of the Caribbean continues into next year, they will probably make a british vessel rather than make a third pirate ship.

        • Brian E

Do you think a British Vessel would sell more so fans could buy 5 or so to make a whole navy?

          • optimus

I would say yes, because you could make some more exclusive minifigs, like Commodore Norrington in his Commodore outfit, Lord Cutler Beckett, and Mr. Roads, from “On Stranger Tides.” Plus, you could re-enact the scene from the first Pirates Film where Jack and Will first begin working together by steeling the “Interceptor.”

          • Brian E

I think the Empress would be very cool but it would cost alot depending on the design and the minfigs but still would maybe be a hit for Lego fans.

i know racers and spongebob are active because each year 123or4 sets.there the two least active themes so its pretty obvious there gonna go away around 2015 or something.but its pretty obvious themes like star wars and harry potter are gonna last til 2018 or somthing. but if we look at ninjago its probably going to last til 2014
or something. but if we look at creator and city there probably going to last until 2050. the good thing about unliscened lego themes is that they can do as many as they like but liscenced themes have a limit because say only 1 scene was left for lego to do well the next year it would be gone.for example star wars has been going for a long time well they repeat the same scenes because they don’t want to dissapoint the fans.but harry potter was new around 2009 so its less likely harry potter scenes are less likely to be repeated than star wars.but if we go back to 2009 they had lego speed racer witch only lasted a year.same as alien conquest it was new in 2011 but theres no new sets.but space police is gone but why because around 2010 it was unsuccsessful same as piarates.
