Episode 15 we review LEGO set 21002, the Empire State Building. This 77 piece set was released in 2009 and is part of the Architecture series. This famous New York City landmark stand 7.1 inches tall with a 3.1 inch base. It was an easy build, despite the recommended 10+ recommended age. This set we would not recommend for kids so much as for an adult that would put it on their desk. Would also be a nice collectible for any collector of all things New York. Set does not include any mini figures.

I absolutely agree they have to make the empire state building bigger and more expensive. How will it look good in your lego city if it is so small. They also need to make make it much more complex.

maybe there’s some learning value in it? even for the more older kids like 15+ who are into architecture would luv this set. so think for older kids should have been more of a 4. adults same reason. maybe bump it up to a 5? But definately very narrow target audience.
