Episode 216 Jason reviews a LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean set, Whitecap Bay. LEGO 4194 is a 2011 release and comes with 745 pieces and 6 minifigures. Minifigures are Jack Sparrow, Philip Scrum, Syrena, a pirate and 2 mermaids.

Set features the Whitecap Bay lighthouse with a light up brick search light, 2 row boats, a net shooting cannon, barrels of oil and more.

Retail price is $79.99 which comes to 10.7 cents per piece. Recommended ages is 7-12.

    There is a LEGO mermaid in Brickbeard’s Bounty (6243) from 2009 releases – one of the best ships LEGO has made. You should check it out and then review it :) .

       P.s. The thing you call compass in this and some other reviews is a sextant – an instrument used to measure an angle between 2 visible objects. It helps to determine your position on the chart and thus is used for naval navigation. on the chart and thus is used for naval navigation.

    No, this one is definitely sextant. Though it would be great to see Lego astrolabe – it would fit well in some older sets, like Kingdoms. You can check it yourself:

    the ZOMBIE is awesome,and so is jack.the boats are ok.i love the light-up brick!the rum bottles are preety neat too!wow the top just blew-up!but nothing beats the poster because i had a sticker creation on my wall and i took it down so that i could have room for the posters.

    I just built this set and found conflicting information between the instructions and the picture on the front of the box. The stickers you put around the windows are one short. The picture shows that all windows have a sticker on the main tower but the instructions say they don’t and it’s not clear from the instructions.
    Also on the box it shows the doors on backwards where the cannon comes out.

    I called Lego to let them know so they can revise these issues. They are sending me extra stickers so I can complete the set properly.
