Episode 29 Jason reviews LEGO set 10181, the Eiffel Tower. This is a 2007 release from the Large Scale Models theme. It contains a HUGE 3,428 pieces.

At release the retail price in stores was $199.99 which puts it at 5.8 ¢ per piece. This set is now very expensive to get but still worth the build. It can be a conversation starter in your home and even used as home decor.

Some fun facts about the real Eiffel Tower:

  • Is 1,063 feet tall, or 81 stories.
  • Contains a restaurant on the first level, and another on the second level.
  • The first 2 levels are up 300 steps each and then to reach the top you have to take a cable lift.
  • The Eiffel Tower is the most visited paid monument in the world.
  • It was built in 1889 and was the largest structure in the world until 1930.
  • Take a virtual tour of the Eiffel Tower.
