Episode 43 Stephen reviews a 2010 World Racers set called Gator Swamp. This set comes with 354 pieces and 4 mini figures. Minifigures include 2 from the red race team (Billy Bob Blaster, Bubba Blaster), 2 from the green race team (DEX-treme, REX-treme) and 1 racing official. LEGO 8899 comes with 2 racing boats of which the red team’s boat resembles an air boat while the green teams is more of an air-propelled raft. Each of them is equipped with weapons to take out their opponents with. The weapons are as follows:
- Green Team – Flick missiles.
Red Team – Thornax and spinning blades.
Set also includes with a crocodile, floating finishing line with checkered flag and trophy and a fueling station.
Retail price for this is around $39.99 USD which comes to about 11.2 ¢ per piece. People (like Stephen) can appreciate this set if you’ve ever been to the Everglades and seen the air boats. The red boat has the self-propeller feature when you move the boat.
