Episode 49 Jason reviews a 2010 Atlantis set called Atlantis Exploration HQ. LEGO 8077 set comes with 473 pieces and 3 mini figures. You get the Manta Warrior (which was featured in Episode 17) and then 2 Atlantis divers (Dr. Jeff Fisher and Captain Ace Speedman). You also get a small turbo jet sub.
The main feature is mobile command sub which is transformable. VERY COOL! First, it’s a sub equipped with flick-firing torpedoes and some smaller harpoons. The sub then transforms into a base station or Exploration HQ. The HQ/sub rests on the included repair bay with a crane. Included inside the command station is a map room and a laboratory with some great little accessories (coffee cup, map, fish, exploration equipment). Much of the side windows and portals lift up/out.
Retail price for this is around $49.99 USD which comes to about 10.6 ¢ per piece. Recommended ages are 7 – 14.
