Episode 50 Stephen reviews a 2009 Star Wars set called Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser. LEGO 8039 set comes with 1,170 pieces and 5 mini figures. The minifigs include a Clone Pilot, Clone Gunner, Senator Palpatine and 2 blue Clone Commandos. The Senator Palpatine and blue Commandos are only available in this set.

Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser is loaded with missles, blasters and bombs. The whole front lifts up revealing a command station with computers and chairs. You can lift up the rear wings and find the hidden gunner. Another cool feature is the crate in Palpatine’s office which has a hidden hologram of the Death Star. The back has 4 main engines, 2 secondary and another 2 smaller engines. Measures 20″ (51cm) long, 12″ (31cm) wide, 7″ (18cm) high. It was released n August of 2009 and was part of the third wave of Clone Wars sets.

Retail price for this is around $119.99 USD which comes to about 8.5 ¢ per piece. Recommended ages are 7 – 14.

      yeah i like it but it is the pre-star destroyer so it could be bigger but only like 10 inces

    You could have shown the bomb drop feature better if you’d used the handle on top of the model. :o )
    Is there a particular reason you did not use any of the stickers. I mean, I dislike them to, but leave them out all together? :o )
