Episode 53 Stephen reviews a 2010 Atlantis set called Gateway of the Squid. LEGO 8061 set comes with 353 pieces, 3 mini figures, a large black squid, a white albino octopus and a sunken temple which is protected by the black gateway. The mini figures include the squid warrior which comes with a trident and 2 Atlantis divers (Lance Spears, Professor Sam Rhodes).

You insert the blue squid treasure key into the stone and it turns and opens the gates. Some nice seaweed pieces are included. Beyond the gate is the large black squid which is protecting the treasure box that is filled with jewel pieces. There is a knob in the back that, when turned, opens a trap door in the floor.

Retail price for this is around $39.99 USD which comes to about 11.3 ¢ per piece. Recommended ages are 7 – 14. Check out all the Atlantis LEGO Sets.
