Episode 81 Stephen reviews a LEGO Star Wars set, 10212. This set was released in September of 2010 and comes with 2,503 pieces and 5 mini figures. Mini figures include Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight w/ no cape), Imperial Pilot, Stormtrooper and Imperial Officer.

Set features the Imperial Shuttle that appears in Return of the Jedi when Luke Skywalker surrenders and is taken to the Death Star II. The cockpit can sit 4 mini figures. The Shuttle comes equipped with rotating cannons, fold-able wings and a display stand.

This set retails for $259.99 which comes to 10 ¢ per piece. Recommended ages is 16+. We think that’s a little high and some younger kids that have alot of LEGO building experience could build the Imperial Shuttle. There are 4 instruction books and the bags are not numbered.

Stephen gave the following ratings for LEGO set 10212:

Young Kids – 6 out of 10
Older Kids – 8 out of 10
Adults – 9 out of 10

Cool set, but I think they should have it back open. For the transport of vehicles and troopers. Then the set would have more value.

out of all of the sets you just mentioned none of them were able to get the darn boarding ramp if you remembered is how you get in!!! I’m also disappointed that this one also failed to adress that, but it also doesn’t even have a passenger compartment to speak of!!! just the cockpit!!! Yes though I understand this is an ultimate collectors model and they usually dont have minifigures. I have to say one more thing actually two: one they couldn’t have just put ONE lever for the wings!!?? and two no retractable landing gear??? But on a positive note this is a beautiful set and I’m glad LEGO did it.
