Episode 81 Stephen reviews a LEGO Star Wars set, 10212. This set was released in September of 2010 and comes with 2,503 pieces and 5 mini figures. Mini figures include Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight w/ no cape), Imperial Pilot, Stormtrooper and Imperial Officer.

Set features the Imperial Shuttle that appears in Return of the Jedi when Luke Skywalker surrenders and is taken to the Death Star II. The cockpit can sit 4 mini figures. The Shuttle comes equipped with rotating cannons, fold-able wings and a display stand.

This set retails for $59.99 which comes to 8.1¢ per piece. Recommended ages is 16+. We think that’s a little high and some younger kids that have alot of LEGO building experience could build the Imperial Shuttle. There are 4 instruction books and the bags are not numbered.

Andrew Becraft of Brothers Brick has put together an epic build called the Battalion Aid Station. Four things we love about this build:

• The bullet holes in the farmhouse wall.
• The foliage wall on the left side.
• Medics seem to be treating an enemy soldier (dark green fig).
• Skateboard ramps used to make tent.

Episode 80 Jason reviews a LEGO Racers set, 8169. This set was released in May 2009 and comes with 741 pieces and no mini figures. You can make either the coupe version or the spyder (convertible). You get 2 instruction books (1 for each model).

Set features the all-impressive yellow Lamborghini Gallardo. The base price on a real Lamborghini of this model is around $200,000! These bad boys can hit 200+ mph and do zero to 60mph in 3.5 seconds.

This set retails for $59.99 which comes to 8.1¢ per piece. Recommended ages is 9-14.

The Series 2 of the Collectible Minifigures are now available on the LEGO website. I’d suggest buying the maximum 16 packs as soon as possible because these WILL be sold out shortly. I went to the LEGO Atlanta store this morning at 12:30 and the ones they had from that morning were already completely sold out. These little figs are going quick and once gone you won’t be able to get them for awhile at the $1.99 price.

Episode 79 Jason reviews a LEGO City set, 3182. This set was released in May 2010 and comes with 703 pieces and 5 mini figures. Mini figures included are a plane pilot, service worker, flight attendant, stewardess and a passenger.

Set features the big red and white airliner (20″ long) which seats 10 passengers plus 2 pilots. We also get the airport (with revolving doors, cafe, check-in), control tower and a baggage cart.

This set retails for $99.99 which comes to 14.2 ¢ per piece. Recommended ages is 6-12.

Episode 78 Jason reviews a LEGO City set, 3181. This set was released in June 2010 and comes with 309 pieces and 3 mini figures. Mini figures included are a plane pilot, service worker (which comes with a cool beanie) and a passenger (who I think looks like Han Solo).

Set features the blue and white passenger plane which is 15″ long. It seats 6 passengers (single row) plus the pilot in the cockpit. Also comes with a yellow tow truck that you can use to tow the passenger plane around with. Also includes a small radar tower.

This set retails for $39.99 which comes to 12.9 ¢ per piece. Recommended ages is 5-12.

Michael Hickox Films released his latest Brick Film last Wednesday about 2 guys playing mini golf. As you’ll see they play nose to nose through the entire course. However, on the 18th hole the red pants dude has some trouble with getting through the windmill…

As you see I think this film makes great use of their background sounds. I felt just like I was on the course. The course looked authentic, I could almost smell the grass. Epic.

Episode 77 Jason reviews a LEGO City set, 3222. This set was released in June 2010 and comes with 267 pieces and 4 mini figures. Mini figures included are a helicopter pilot, limo drive, businessman and businessman’s wife.

Set features both the white stretch limousine and the blue and white air taxi (helicopter). I love the 2 little clear drinking glasses that you get. The pilot and driver have real slick suits on (think Men In Black). This is the first limousine that LEGO has made. This set is a LEGO store exclusive set.

This set retails for $29.99 which comes to 11.2 ¢ per piece. Recommended ages is 5-12.

Episode 76 Stephen reviews a LEGO Kingdoms set, 7947. This set was released in June 2010 and comes with 365 pieces and 5 mini figures. Mini figures included are Dragon Knight, Dragon Archer, Lion Knight, Lion Soldier, and a princess. You also get a rat, 2 smaller dragons and white armored horse.

Set features the Dragon Knights tower where the princess is being held a prisoner. Tower is equipped with a gate, bubbling cauldron and catapult. Also comes with a treasure chest with a nice gold piece and a few gems. Contains 2 instruction booklets with numbered bags.

This set retails for $47.99 which comes to 13.7 ¢ per piece. Recommended ages is 6-12.
